Rob Bonnet spent 25 years as a sports news correspondent and presenter with the BBC but always preferred playing sport to watching it, even though he says he played to a standard “somewhere between amateur and amateurish." His first love was cricket but when running between the wickets became too tiring, he gave it up for golf!

Like many cricketers-turned-golfers, Rob spent a number of years slicing his left-handed drives out-of-bounds. For a while he struggled to see the funny side, but now he recognises that golf - especially bad golf - can be the most comical game in the world. "The topped drive or missed two-footer are pure slapstick…and so is the expression on the face of the frustrated golfer."
